Travel is supposed to be fun and exciting. Right?
Historically, its either business that takes us away or an adventure with loved ones and family.
Is it a trip or a vacation? That is the question!
I love to travel, people watch, explore new lands and hunt for crazy treasures along the way. As with my daily routine, I must feel good in what I am wearing for the days to be enjoyable. What do they wear there?
We plan ahead, we create outfits that will mix and match like Geranimals, we even go so far as to pre-pack looks & outfits together. A common color theme is often a strategy for travel but it rarely works with me. I must admit that more often than not when I arrive my suitcase looks like that of a Vegas ShowGirl.
I love to grab pieces out of my closet that I have never worn, thinking that they might have their debut just because I am 3000 miles away from home.
More often than not, I am overjoyed at having a new piece to play with and experiment on the eyes of unsuspecting foreigners.
But most importantly, Don’t for get to pack an outfit or 2 in the carryon!
My worst nightmare happened en route to Croatia a few years back when my luggage was lost and I was forced to quickly shop in local island tourist shops for what I embraced as my Eastern European Bubala look. Grandmas bikini with padded bra tops and florals I would have never have chosen ended up as my chic wanna be Dolce Gabbana look when the boys out fit the grannies in the crowd. You know I loved it…The perfect excuse to shop!
I have noticed when I stand back and look at my line of shapes and designs, I have a First Class collection of very travel friendly pieces that translate into
languages all over the planet.
Many of my TSA cleared customers have complemented me on how easy it was to plan a trip with my designs. I pride my self in unwittingly creating a party in a dress. Each piece I find myself describing as a unique design you wont find on other travellers and every piece is more than willing to go from casual to fancy in minutes!
Packable fabrics are my friends.
